Summary: This is great! 2010-07-24
Comment: After filling the house with smoke twice trying to cook rice (which we love with our fish), I purchased this rice cooker for my husband. It makes perfect rice every time, and keeps it warm so we can adjust dinner time. It also makes a smaller amount if we need it and we can also cook our favorite steel cut oats for breakfast. The spatula lets you scoop easily and all of it is very easy to clean. I'm very happy with the Zojirushi! Not only that, I shouldn't have any more smoke damage! ;o)

Comment: I am Japanese/American, and have eaten steamed rice all my life. Have owned a rice cooker almost all of my adult years. This is my second Zojurishi cooker. Owning a Zojurishi is so way worth it. Why? It just plain cooks the rice as well as it can be made. I few years ago, I relocated to a far away local and eventually purchased a run of the mill rice cooker, and never liked it. Finally purchased another Zojurishi and now think I was silly for the time I did not have it. Full features and cooking options are cool too. The only draw back on my current model is that it does not have a run off for excess condensation, like my other one had. This does not affect the quality of my rice, just a noticeable difference. I shopped and Amazon offered an excellent price with free shipping. No brainer.

Comment: This cooker works very well. The rice cooks perfectly and does not stick to the container making it very easy to clean. The main cooker is designed well. There is a small indention around the opening to collect the steam. Although it takes 45 minutes to cook the rice, it's well worth it.

Comment: I have eaten rice all my life. This rice cooker is great for 1-2 people, and does not leak or dry the rice out.
