Wolfgang Puck 10th Anniversary 10-Cup Rice Cooker

A must have for the kitchens of both novice to expert cooks and everyone in between. I have purchased over a dozen of these machines (this 10th Anniversary unit as well as the 2 newer versions of it)and am about to buy 2 more. It is not only the best rice cooker on the market, but the go to cooking pot in our home at least 2 to 3 times a week, we cook everything in it sometimes using two at a time to make double recipes. I personally own the 10 cup (actually 2 of them), the 7 cup (2 of them as well and the 5 cup. and everyone asks me about the incredible meals we make in them. So I buy them one and give it to them with some of my favorite recipes like, spaghetti sauce, BBQ chicken, baby back ribs, broccoli soup rotisserie chicken soup, stuff pepper soup, steamed crab, the list goes on and on. And when I do use it to make rice I usually steam veggies on the steamer rack while making the rice. Either way my rice has been perfect every times. I am so surprised that a chef that I have always admired and respected has their name on this product! The rice-cooker is more than terrible. I have had a Japanese rice cooker for the past 8 years, that I can only describe as stunning. My husband, a big fan of HSN, decided that this 'perfect' rice cooker far surpassed our Japanese cooker. Big Mistake !, this rice cooker by Wolfgang Puck, 'The Perfect Rice Cooker' is anything but perfect. Believe me I took my Japanese rice cooker out of storage !!!!!
#1 There is some lame plastic thing at the back of the lid to apparently catch extra steam. NOT, it still leaks and I have more steam than ever! #2 the worse thing is that we have tried this rice cooker, using the directions included, 5 times, and each time the bottom rice was brown and burnt ! I am known as a good cook in my community, thank God I did not use this rice cooker for a dinner party ! Wolfgang Puck you should be ashamed to have put your name on this rice...Read more
