This rice cooker does more than just rice. It also doubles as a food steamer and egg cooker. A perfect applaince for healthy cooking.
Amazon.com Review
For home chefs who favor stir-fries, this cooker makes a huge batch of accompanying rice to last through several family meals. This versatile cooker turns 10 cups of dry rice into 20 cooked cups; it can also cook pasta, potatoes, or eggs and steam vegetables or Chinese dumplings in its included steamer basket. For rice or steamed veggies, the rice cooker takes the guesswork out of cooking by automatically setting to the correct time and then switching over to the "keep warm" function when cooking is complete. A window in the top of the lid lets chefs monitor food while its cooking. A magnetic condensation collector clips onto the side of the cooker to draw steam away from the window. Stay-cool handles on both the sides and lid are safe to touch when the cooker is on. The side handles also act as holders for the lid and a notch in the lid’s handle holds the included spatula. The cooker’s removable nonstick bowl and lid are both dishwasher-safe for easier cleaning. This rice cooker also comes with a measuring cup and is covered by a 1-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Just got mine today have cooked two batches of rice (very small amounts no more than a half a cup of uncooked) both times it boiled over and got the lid and sides gooey and crusty The first time it burned the rice (Not too bad, about like I could burn it myself in a pan) the second I kept an eye on it and turned it off before it could happen again. Needless to say I will be returning this and getting one with a locking lid and condensation catcher (didn't know those were important until now)

The unit stopped working within 12 months and I had it replaced twice under warranty. Had to pay for shipping while sending the unit back. Now the third unit has also stopped working. Gled to see that they have discontinued the item.
