This review is from: Sanyo ECJ-M100S Micro-Computerized 10-Cup Rice Cooker (Kitchen) This is a very new model which Amazon started selling only recently. I bought this over a month ago from a third party seller here. Being a native rice eater, and having cooked rice flawlessly on the stove-top for years, I have always been very dismissive of these automatic rice cookers because they never lived up to the hype. Every rice cooker I had tried would brown the bottom layer of my rice, and I would have to simply throw the bottom half an inch of cooked rice into the sink. Well, turns out that I had been wasting time & money over the wrong type of rice cooker. A friend recommended that I buy a fuzzy logic cooker. The concept was appealing, but the two hundred dollar tag was the deal-breaker. While searching for another kitchen item, I stumbled upon this Sanyo model which claimed to deliver the same fuzzy logic technology for about half the price of the leading brand. And bought it on a whim. Boy, am I glad! I have nothing but praise for this machine...Read more 44 of 45 people found the following review helpful: By 10-2-Go (Beaumont, Texas United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Sanyo ECJ-M100S Micro-Computerized 10-Cup Rice Cooker (Kitchen) I purchased the Sanyo ECJ-M100S Micro-Computerized 10-Cup Rice Cooker from Amazon after my older Sanyo rice cooker finally bit the dust after many, many years of faithful service. I decided to buy it based on the reviews here, which were very good. Coming from an Asian family, I cook and eat a lot of rice--breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My old Sanyo was smaller, and I sometimes found myself wishing for a larger one so I could experiment with recipes from The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook : 250 No-Fail Recipes for Pilafs, Risottos, Polenta, Chilis, Soups, Porridges, Puddings and More, from Start to Finish in Your Rice Cooker. So, when I found this 10-cup model, I was delighted. I've only made short grain white rice so far, but it does an excellent job at it. I have also used the timer function, and awoke this morning to perfectly...Read more 28 of 30 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Sanyo ECJ-M100S Micro-Computerized 10-Cup Rice Cooker (Kitchen) I am from western asia. This product is awesome. It cooks rice very well ( bought it a week ago ) and the first rice I tried was estamboli polo :)) for those of you who don't know what that is, let me tell you I've tried many rice cookers and all of them burnt this rice except this one. ( rice + meat + tomato + onion + pepper + potato )
CORD?!!! no I don't wash my hands. Many things around you contains Lead so do not be afraid of it. ( PhD in electrical eng. ) It is a decent rice cooker with lots of features for the price. Pros : 1. Good looking 2. Features 3. Precise cooking Cons: 1. No clock. Just a timer 2. If you are a fan of rice crust, there is no option for that. Just a natural crust, not like parskhazar or ... with a deep crust |
