Product Review

A useful addition to any busy kitchen, this rice cooker by the Oster brand offers a 10 cup uncooked rice capacity, which means it can prepare up to 20 cups of light, fluffy cooked rice. Use it for anything from sticky white rice for sushi rolls to brown rice for a spicy Mexican dish. Simply add a measured amount of rice and water to the nonstick inner pot, secure the lid, and turn the unit on. Once fully cooked, the appliance automatically switches over to keep-warm mode, which keeps food at an ideal serving temperature without overcooking. In addition, this unit features a sauté function which allows for browning of the food. The non-stick removable bowl makes clean-up easy and convenient. Furthermore, a rice measuring cup and ladle are included. This product has a one year limited warranty.

I used this to cook rice and it came out so well,Also I used saute purpose as well,it came out as good as sauteing on stove top.The only downside of this is it doesnt come with steaming tray.I purchased this for 23 bucks in amazon and i have seen it coming all the way down to 18 bucks..that was the best deal.

I already own a small Aroma rice cooker and had been looking for a larger rice cooker when I found this on sale her. I bought it for $20 (other websites sell it for over $45), which was quite a deal. I have been using it for over 3 weeks now and have no problem so far. As one reviewer says, it doesn't have fill lines but that isn't a problem for me as the amount of water varies with type of rice and preparation. I haven't yet used the saute feature. Will update the review when I try it.

I have bought many rice cookers over the years and never once have I seen one without the FILL LINES in the pot! This one does NOT have fill lines! Usually the inside of the pot has numbers 1-10 and lines to let you know where to fill the water to for the amount of cups of rice you put in! Just like your coffee pot! I'am disappointed that a company such as Oster did not add such a simple feature for easier use to customer! Now I will have to pull out a measuring cup or buy a large measuring pitcher! SO DISAPPOINTED! Come on Oster, you can do better!
