I bought this primarily to steam vegetables, but even cook meat in it, now. Things are moist, flavorful, and easy to make. It also cleans nicely with soapy water--nothing has ever stuck to it. What a great, and simple addition to any kitchen!

The steamer was used 3 times successfully and then started stinking whenever used. I have bleached it, soaked in baking soda & put in a bag with newspaper with no change in smell. It is unusable and was used to cook broccoli & carrots all three times. Another negative feature is that it's floppy. You have to be careful when you move it so it does not spill.

It is really great product yet I do have one issue with it! The food condiment's smell penetrate the silicone and it holds the smell even when I soak it in soapy hot water over night. The whole cabinet smells on the dinner which was done 4 days ago in this steamer. That is too bad. - I can't complain about the food made in it! It comes out with incredible flavors and the meat (fish or chicken) is moist and simply the BEST!
