So what is a steam roaster, I hear you wondering?
I bought it on a whim some time ago, and I never really used as I already had the steam case. Then the oven broke and the repairman is taking ages, so I am experimenting a lot more with the microwave. I have only got my first microwave one year ago, and I am not really used to it yet, but now I am forced to try new recipes, and here's where the steam roaster comes in really handy.
You can mix, season and cook your food all in the same container, isn't that wonderful? If you cook in the microwave, obviously, your food will not turn out as crispy, but it won't be limp either. I tried to make roast potatoes, with some onions and a little oil and herbs and they were supertasty and nice; then I took them out of the roaster and cooked salmon fillet, directly from frozen and it was really good too. All of this only took about 15 minutes, isn't that brilliant?
