Joyce Chen J26-0054 6-Quart 3-Tier Chinese Steamer

I love this steamer. super fast for boiling, double layers save time. If you get hard boiling going the lid moves around a bit, it has a small hole to vent pressure, but either lower heat a bit or keep an eye on it. This is a good price for a nice pot that I can use without steamer attachments to boil corn or whatever. Great steamer, I have to get use to it because the vegetables retain the color better with this steamer than the little contraption I'm use to. It takes a little getting use to, but in no time you can figure out when the food is ready before overcooking,unless you're one of those people who like it soft.

Purchased this product knowing this was not going to be "top notch" merchandise, but I did have the expectation that being stainless steel it would last. The second time I used the pot the bottom layer of stainless steel popped away from the side of the pot. I would have returned the pot, but I had thrown away the box that it came in and the packaging material. I took a picture of the detachment as well. The stainless steel also discolors with use. This product was manufactured in China and obviously quality control is NOT something they embrace, appreciate or endorse. DO NOT BUY.

This steamer is a top-quality product. It is made well and it steams perfectly. We had never had a steamer pot and we were amazed at how much better certain foods tasted when steamed properly. We bought another one for a Mother's Day gift.
