We are on our third rice cooker. The first two took over 30 to 45 mins to cook 4 cups of rice. This cusisnart cooks 8 to 10 cuts in under 15 mins. It keeps the rice warm but it turns the ric at the bottom of the pot a slight brown. Not as much as my other two cookers. So far so good.
