Calypso Basics 3-Piece Microwave Steamer Set, Cabernet

The look nice, they do the job and they don't cost a lot. We have 2 sets and have also given 2 sets as gifts.

They're good, and I didn't find that the handles are too hot after 7 min. in the microwave. And happily they are freezer safe. But when I got my set, one of the steam-vent knobs had fallen off...and it took a while to get it to go back on correctly. And, of course you'd know to wash anything first before using it on food...but this company put a notice 'to do so' prominently on the bottom of one container...and they meant it! Washing them in hot soapy water revealed some kind of 'filmy' coating that soap and water alone wouldn't remove. But some firm rubbing with paper towles, and the coating finally came off.

I love this set! Received them this morning, washed them and used them within the hour. Color is true to the illustration. I especially like the adjustable vent in each lid. So much better than having to pry up a section of the lid while microwaving to vent steam. Read the instructions. These containers cannot go in the freezer. Refrigerator and microwave only--just what I wanted.
