Summary: great for the price 2010-08-24
Comment: - looks good, well made
- never tried steaming anything, but rice is cooked well, it will take some experimentation to get the amount of water required perfectly right for your brand of rice
- came with cooking pot, spatula to serve rice, measuring cup and steaming tray
Deducting one star for the fact that it starts with the "cook" light on when plugged in, regardless of the position of the switch. The switch position for "cook"/"warm" are not marked on the cooker itself

Summary: OH THAT'S GOOD RICE! 2010-08-09
Comment: Great rice cooker. Yields 16 cups of cooked rice! I thought it was eight cooked. It's big but no regrets here. Makes perfect rice everytime and clean up is a snap. Worth every penny.

Summary: Very happy with rice cooker 2010-07-18
Comment: We weren't sure we needed a rice steamer after making rice several times a week on the stove top for 47 years, but we love it for white rice and are getting used to it with brown. It is convenient and dependable.

Summary: Buyer Beware Faulty Switch 2010-05-30
Comment: From the very first time I used the Aroma rice cooker, the switch for "cook" would move to the"warm" position within the first minutes of cooking. I would catch it and push it back to "cook". After about 5 uses the switch completely broke and I couldn't set it to anything. I have to say that if I didn't have this problem I would have kept the cooker because the rice came out great and we enjoyed it. I returned it to Amazon and actually ordered the same one again. I guess my thinking was what would be the odds of getting another one like that. Well I guess I got the jackpot because the new one also had the same switch problem. I said, "enough is enough" and picked a Sanyo rice cooker. I did see in the reviews that someone else had the same problem with their Aroma rice cooker, just thought it was one-of-a-kind issue, guess not!
