Busy cooks cherish rice cookers. This model cooks up to 10 cups of dry rice and keeps it warm. A rack fits in the rice-cooking pan for steaming seafood and vegetables, cooking hard- or soft-boiled eggs, and cooking custards in their own containers. By heating oil in the pan and then pressing the "cook" switch again when ingredients are added, the manufacturer says stir-frying foods is possible. A glass lid permits monitoring of the cooking process. Instructions and a cooking chart explain everything clearly. A measuring cup and serving spatula are included.
