This is a very high quality pan. I use it for steaming and as a colander. I highly recommend this product as an addition to the Cuisinart 77-7 chef's classic stainless steel 7 piece set. Amazon.com rocks, they provide great product, on time and as promised.

Its shocking that American Kitchen markets it as a 3-Quart Steamer Insert. Beware its only a 2 Quart capacity Insert. When contacted by phone they brazenly said that the insert capacity is not 3 Quart but that it fits a 3 Quart saucepan. All other makers specify capacity of their insert and the saucepan separately. Not American Kitchen and they make no apologies for any misunderstanding.

This product is well constructed and works as advertised.
I use this with the American Kitchen 3qt Sauce pan and it fits reasonably well w/little steam leakage.
